7DS Wrath - Riding Hood and BBW
I had fun with this one! Extra bonus plus plus because that fur wolf jacket fits me! (Although maybe it might look a little bit different on the 6 ft male model that is skinnier than I am...) I love the photo story here that just happened to work itself out. Notice how they are fighting and then Red "skins" the wolf at the end?
Reggae Pants and Leather Micro Jacket and a huge surprise
This is my assistant, Jessia, who very often I truly think I learn as much from her as she does from me. I think she is a gorgeous girl and also does a great job modeling for me. Especially because she fits into all my sample sizes and isn't afraid of wearing things that are odd and unusual, like this super-flared pair of pants with a pocket on the outside and faux leather micro-micro jacket with fur trim.
BONUS>>>>>
My friend, Shawn, who is a headdress designer who used to work under Bob Mackie, was clearing out his studio space and gave me a ton of trim and material. Among the findings was the fur I used in this jacket. I asked him recently if this fur was from Mackie.
He answered, "Actually, I think it's from Cher..."
IT'S FROM CHER....
It's from freakin' CHER...
Johnny Bravo, She Fits the Suit!
The Storybook Stole
I made this little faux rabbit fur stole for Saija's wedding (she's the model in the picture) to cover a tattoo on her shoulder that her wedding dress didn't hide.
It was so envied by the guests at the wedding that she has worn it out and about with many different outfits (jeans, dresses, etc) and women always ask her where she bought it! So she convinced me to sell these online in this fabric as well as other faux furs that I have tucked away! They are so easy to make and I hope I sell a lot of these this fall and winter!
Three's Company: Chrissy's Sexual Harassment Suit
Remember Chrissy's bosses were always hitting on her? I made this complete cover-up outfit that adds bulk in unusual places with the attempt to make something sexy while still revealing nothing.
First of all, I don't care what anyone says, this is one of my FAVORITE designs that I have done recently. It is also one of the most complicated! Do you notice how the scarf around her neck is also the front of the double breasted jacket itself? It's not just attached, it's PART of the jacket! You don't see things like that!
The forearm warmers came as a kind of fluke. I had JUST enough of that awesome orange flower fabric to make the jacket. I couldn't have made it any bigger even if I wanted to. So I thought I would make the sleeves out of the off-white knit material. It looked weird. So I unpinned the sleeves from the bodice and they fell/scrunched down to the forearms. Then, I screamed like a girl.
It was suggested to me that this jacket would also make a good power-suit if I made a matching pencil skirt. Fortunately, I already had one made from a previous outfit that used the same orange fabric. So, here it is!

Bonanza: "The Fake Indian"
I felt like playing with fringe.
I'm sure you know the very same feeling, right?
On the old Western shows, they regularly had Indian characters pop up for storylines, whether it be a scary Native man that is erroneously accused of a crime, or an intoxicatingly attractive Indian squaw in need of saving and/or taming. The thing is, the actors playing the "natives" all seemed to be caucasians simply wearing tan makeup, i.e. "Fake Indian!"
I acquired this tan loosely woven fabric a little bit ago. It was most likely intended to be used for window coverings, but I liked the way it easily unraveled at the raw edges and makes a wonderful fringed dress with beaded trim.
I wanted to pair the dress with an 80's denim jacket to add a cowgirl touch. If you look at the zoom, I used a fringe slashing and twisting treatment used way back pre-renaissance period to show a peekaboo lining and add interest.
